What is the cancellation policy for members?

You only need to provide a 30-day notice to cancel your monthly membership. To avoid being charged for the following month, be sure to submit your notice before the 5th of the current month.

Can I wear my own GI?

Yes, we understand that visitors and new members may not have feasible time or opportunity to obtain an GSBJJ academy Gi or a blank Gi before joining us on the mats. New members are given a grace period to purchase an academy Gi. You can also purchase a GSBJJ patch to have put on your Gi.

Can I walk-in and start my trial class?

If you're an adult, you can walk in to ANY class on the schedule and start your trial class the same day—just arrive 10-15 minutes before the class begins. For children starting a trial class, we ask that you fill out the form on our homepage beforehand.

When is the best time to start a trial class?

You can start a trial class at any time, but we recommend beginning at the start of the week. This is when we introduce a new fundamental skill and progressively build on it throughout the week.

Typically how long does it take to move up to the next level class for youth?

Advancing to the next class typically takes around 2-3 months, but this timeline varies based on individual progress and skill level.

Is a boxing class included in the adult coed unlimited and the youth unlimited memberships?

Boxing is included in both the Youth Unlimited and Adult Coed Unlimited plans offered at our facility. However, youth students who are struggling with mastering this particular skill may need to wait a little longer before they are able to return to boxing sessions. This ensures that each individual has the opportunity to develop at their own pace and receive the appropriate guidance before rejoining the class.

Where does my warrior progress after junior warriors?

Once you progress beyond the Juniors level, you will move up to the Adults classes. While the Little Warriors class serves as preparatory stages for Juniors. Please reach out to a coach to converse about your child’s BJJ journey.

Are there recommendations for GI alterations or belt embroidery?

Yes! You can reach out to a staff member, and we will ensure your items are properly taken care of.

How often do you have promotions?

Promotions can be conducted at anytime by a coach. Our academy follows the quarterly system from IBJJF. Promotions are earned and not guaranteed to any individual.

Do you sponsor local law enforcement?

Yes! We proudly sponsor our local law enforcement from white belt to blue belt, providing approximately two years of support, though the timeframe may vary for each individual.

What are the progression stages for youth classes?

Tiny Warriors serves as a preparatory class for Little Warriors. Once students advance beyond these classes, they move into Junior Warriors.
